Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
- Meloxicam 20 mg
Indication:
- Meloxiswede is used in acute respiratory infection and in acute mastitis with appropriate antibiotic therapy in cattle and for the relief of post-operative pain following dehorning in calves.
- Meloxiswede is used for alleviation of inflammation and relief of pain in both acute and chronic musculo-skeletal disorders in horses. It is also used for the relief of pain associated with equine colic.
Dose:
By Subcutaneous or Intravenous injection.
- Cattle: 1 ml Meloxiswede / 40 kg body weight by subcutaneous or intravenous injection as a single dose.
- Horses: 3 ml Meloxiswede / 100 kg body weight by intravenous injection as a single dose.
Contra-Indications:
- Do not use in hypersensitivity to active ingredient.
- Do not use in animals suffering from cardiac, renal, or hepatic diseases.
- Do not use in animals where there is the possibility of gastro-intestinal ulceration or bleeding.
- Do not use in horses less than 6 weeks of age.
Side Effects:
- Prolonged use may cause gastro-intestinal lesions, inappetence, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Warnings:
- Avoid use in very severely dehydrated, hypovolaemic or hypotensive animals.
- Avoid concurrent treatment with other Non- Steroidal Anti- Inflammatory Drugs, corticosteroids, or anticoagulants.
- Not used in newly born pet animals.
Withdrawal:
- Cattle meat : 15 days.
- Cattle milk : 5 days.
- Horse meat : 5 days.
Storage:
Store at temperature not exceeding 30ºC
