Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
- Metronidazole 5 mg
Indication:
Metrostate is indicated for the treatment of :
- Amebiasis caused by Entamoeba histolytica.
- Giardiasis caused by Giardia spp.
- Enterocolitis caused by Clostridium spp.
Dose:
- To be added to drinking water 4 ml Metrostate per kg B.Wt. twice daily for 5 – 7 days.
Contra-Indications:
- Not to be used in animals hypersensitive to metronidazole.
- Metronidazole should be used with caution in animals with hepatic dysfunction.
Side Effects:
- Adverse effects reported in dogs include neurologic disorders, anorexia, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Withdrawal:
- Not to be used food producing animals
Storage:
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C
