Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
- Ivermectin 0.8 mg
Indication:
Oramectin is used for the treatment of following parasites.
Sheep & Goats:
- Gastrointestinal roundworms: Ostertagia circumcincta, Haemonchus contortus, Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Strongyloides papillosus, Oesophagostomum spp., Chabertia ovina, Nematodirus spp., Trichuris ovis (adult).
- Lungworms: Dictyocaulus filaria (adult and immature).
- Nasal Bots: Oestrus ovis (all larval stages).
- Mange Mites: Psoroptes ovis.
Cattle:
- Gastrointestinal roundworms: Ostertagia circumcincta, Haemonchus contortus, Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Strongyloides papillosus, Oesophagostomum spp., Chabertia ovina, Nematodirus spp., Trichuris ovis (adult).
- Lungworms: Dictyocaulus viviparus (adult and immature).
- Grubs: Hypoderma bovis, Hypoderma lineatum.
- Lice: Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus.
- Mange Mites: Sarcoptes bovis.
Horses:
- Adult and 4th small strongyles, the large strongyles: Strongylus vulgaris, S. equines, S. edentates.
Ascarids: Parascaris equorum.
Pinworms: Oxyuris equi. - Stomach worms: Draschia megastoma, Habronema spp. Intestinal worms: Trichostrongylus axei.
- Lungworms: Dictyocaulus arnfieldi.
Dose:
To be used as oral drench.
- 2.5 ml of Oramectin per 10 kg B.Wt. as a single dose and not to be repeated.
Contra-Indications:
- Not to be used in animals producing milk for human consumption.
- Not to be used in animals with hypersensitivity to ivermectin.
Side Effects:
- Occasional coughing in sheep and goats.
Warnings:
- Avoid contact with the eyes, skin and clothing.
- Resistance may be developed to any drench.
Withdrawal:
- Meat for sheep & goats: 14 days.
- Meat for Cattle: 28 days.
Storage:
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
