Chloracline Powder

Composition:

Each 1 gm contains:

  • Chlortetracycline hydrochloride 200 mg (Eq. to Chlortetracycline 186 mg)

Indication:

Chloracline is a broad spectrum antibiotic active against wide variety range of organisms including both Gram – & Gram + , anaerobic and aerobic bacteria, mycoplasma, rickettsiae, chlamydiae and even some protozoa (amebae) in poultry and different animals. Chloracline is effective in the treatment and control of Colisepticaemia, Fowl cholera, Infectious Coryza (Haemophilus paragallinarum), Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), Enteritis (E. coli, Clostridium spp, Salmonella spp), Duck septicaemia, Omphalitis, Spirochetes, Listeriosis specially (acute and subacute forms), and Chlamydiosis. Chloracline is also useful in the treatment and control of secondary bacterial infections associated with coccidiosis (Eimeria spp) and viral infections in poultry. Chloracline is also recommended for the treatment and control of bacterial diarrhea (scoure), pneumonia, navel and joint ill in calves.

Dose:

  • Poultry & Rabbits: 0.5 – 1 g Chloracline / liter drinking water for 3 – 5 days. ( 10 mg Chlortetracycline / kg B.Wt ) for 3 – 5 days.
  • Calves – Lambs – Horses: 2.5 – 5 g Chloracline / 50 kg B.Wt. in drinking water for 3 – 5 days. ( 5 – 10 mg Chlortetracycline / kg B.Wt. ) every 12 h for 3 – 5 days.

Warnings:

Not to be used in Ruminant with functional rumen and laying hens.

Withdrawal:

  • Poultry: 3 days.
  • Non ruminating calves: 15 days

Storage:

Store tightly closed, in dry and dark place below 30 C.
